Welcome to SOLACE INDIA ONLINE

Started by a handful of like minded college Students under the guidance of the local MP & a group of retired Defence Officers, in 1996, when the Internet was just a new concept to the world, Solace India OnLine was envisioned as a futuristic set up for Social work and reaching out the people faster and surer.

SIOL shaped up as an NGO with a difference, initially guiding helping people on the phones, what we roughly know as ‘tele-advisory’. The first public project that SIOL undertook was the Cleanliness drive in Kanpur Dehat in 1996-97.

Encouraged by the overwhelming response to the first drive, SIOL went on to organise various other drives, workshops and free medical camps and counselling sessions. The SIOL Team has ever since, been consistently and dedicatedly working for the cause of deprived & disadvantaged sections of the society across the length and breadth of the country.

Approach, Methodology and Strategy

SIOL works at the grass root level by adopting a customized strategy as per the ground Level realities and the need of the target group. Therefore, the programs are designed accordingly. A society based on legitimate rights, equality, justice, honesty, social sensitivity and a culture of service in which all are self-reliant is the vision.

It is a long-term strategy for emancipating the whole community interventions levels i.e., the child, the family and & the community with extra emphasis on child specially girl child, street Child And Disabled child.
